My 4 favourite words... "All you can eat"!!
Some exciting eats over the weekend, although I must admit to not getting much photographic evidence (I blame the beer!)
I had a takeaway curry on Friday night (Sag Prawn with rice) round my mate Mike's house. I didn't stay out long, mainly because I had a stag party to attend Saturday afternoon.
It was a bit of a pain to find, but once there I had a great time racing on a mud track in a 600cc buggy and once I got the hang of the clay pigeon shooting I was something of a sharp shooter!
Anyway, the evening part of the stag do consisted of a trip to the New World restaurant in the
town centre for some "all-u-can-eat" chinese!! I love all you can eat, but on this occasion - I had to take it steady as I didn't want to fill up on food when there was a night of drinking ahead of me.
I did try a few shots in the New World, including a "Slippery Nipple" (pic left) which consists of baileys and sambuca and also a "Winter Warmer" which is made from whiskey and amoretto. Both shots were very easy to drink.
Unfortunately, my part is the stag do proceedings came to an abrupt halt when the doorman of Oceana nightclub refused to let me enter on the grounds of inappropriate footwear (I was wearing some Timberland boots!) - but I hooked up with some other mates in town and had a good night with them instead.
Sunday I went to the Ship restaurant with my parents and enjoyed a starter of roasted vegetables covered in mozarella inside a filo pastry basket. My main course was a fish medley of shark, tuna and salmon steaks with roasted vegetables. I washed this down with several beers, glasses of wine and finished off with an Irish coffee.

I then hooked up with some mates at the Patchway Sports and Social, for more beers and some live entertainment. All in all, a quality weekend!
Today's canteen had a halloween theme (*sighs*) - I think I had a "Bubbling Cauldron Stew" or something (pic to right).

Eat that.
